Gaelic harp temperament chart

This chart shows the values, in cents and by ratio, for each note of the Gaelic harp scale.
Values are shown for the steps inbetween the notes (eg, G-a is 204 cents, ratio 9:8 and a-b is
204 cents, ratio 9:8).  Also shown, in bold, are the cumulative values of the steps leading up to
the octave (eg, G-a is 204 cents, ratio 9:8 and G-b is 408 cents, ratio 27:16).

The measurements given in pink related to intervals not recorded by Bunting or Bell and are
placed here purely for curiosity's sake.  The
apotomé (114 cents) appears below sharp notes
tuned by a fifth but above flat notes tuned by a fourth.  Their particular order in the pink
measurements is created here by tuning the 4ths F-bflat and bflat-eflat plus the 5th C#-G#.

The normal minor 3rd is made up of the
meízon of 203.91 cents (9:8) + the leímma of 90.225
cents (256:243), eg, a-b-c = 294.135 cents (256:243).  Theoretically, an interval which does
not appear on the Gaelic harp, one of 317.595 cents (19683:16384), could be created at
f-f#-g-aflat.  This would be created as a result of continuing to tune up in 5ths as far as C#-G#.
It would consist of a meízon f-f#-g (made of an apotomé of 113.685 plus a leímma of 90.225)
standing beside an apotomé g-aflat (113.685 cents).
